moleskine

I have a lot of moleskines.

Call me pretentious. Call me a hipster (dear god don’t call me that). Fuck, call me a follower, but there is just something about them. It’s not the “supposed” connection to da Vinci or anyone else famous. It’s the texture, the feel of the paper. They’re the perfect size.

I buy them and I buy them. Even though I have plenty at home, unused, I still buy more.

My wife leaves me little notes (usually somewhere in the middle). Small things that make my day when I find them. Sometimes it takes me a while to find them, but when I do it never fails to touch me.

Things to do when bored

Go down in your basement and find your yearbooks (the ones from college will do, but if you have ones from junior high or high school, those are the best).

Hopefully you will have a lot of signatures and saying in the front and back covers (this is why I mentioned the HS and JH being the best because the writing is funnier).

I was in the basement about 5 minutes ago (trying to figure out if I knew someone that I found on myspace) and I got into reading my old JH yearbooks. How innocent it all sounded. I just hope I stayed sweet (every girl told me too). Plus there were lots of inside jokes that I STILL remembered. All this time.
